Introducing my newest girl in my Pirates series – “Bootstrap Betsy!” I love her colourful parrot friend bringing her strands of pearls! Actually, I love everything in this painting, from her classic tattoos – to the blue land crab approaching the half-buried skeleton – to the tropical sea – the palm trees reflecting in her eyes – the distant ship on the horizon – pretty cool!
